Wants and Needs

How you can help right now

Volunteer PCC Secretary

We’re looking for someone to take on this important but very manageable role. The PCC meets only five times a year, and full support and guidance will be given. The job mainly involves taking minutes and helping with simple admin that keeps us connected with the Diocese. If you could help, we’d be delighted to hear from you.

Could You Be Our Second Church Warden?

St Mary’s needs another Church Warden to help with the practical running of the church: welcoming people, supporting services, and helping with day-to-day matters. It’s an important role, but very much a shared one, with lots of help from the Rector, PCC, and the current Warden. If you care about the church and want to make a real difference, please consider stepping forward.

Forum Magazine Deliverer (Urgent Help Needed)

We urgently need someone to help deliver just 9 Forum magazines in the Blything Court area each month. It’s a very small round, but it makes a big difference in keeping everyone in the village connected and informed. The delivery is once a month and takes a short time. If you can help, even temporarily, please contact Pat.

Volunteer Needed, Forum Magazine Distribution

We’re looking for someone to take on the monthly delivery of the Forum magazines. The round takes about an hour and a half at the end of each month, and it’s very straightforward. You’ll be shown the route and given all the details you need. Please contact Mandy Homer.

Vacuum Cleaner for the Charity Shop (Urgent Request)

The Charity Shop is in urgent need of a vacuum cleaner, and we’re hoping someone in the community might have a spare one they no longer use.

Photographer Skills for Church Website

We urgently need someone who can volunteer to take photographs for our church website. Good, up-to-date images are essential as we continue improving the site. If you have photography skills, even at a basic level, or know someone who could help, please let Maggie know as soon as possible.
